The people must know that their entire life will be spoil by taking too much sodium. Too much sodium is bad for you. New research speaks that a diet low in sodium may be harmful for health. So, the people must maintain sodium level as we described below have a look over that.
Why we need Sodium?
The Sodium will performs several critical functions in our body, i.e. it will balance our nerves system and muscles that to work properly in a regulated manner. And it also helps to maintain proper blood pressure and volume in our body.
Many people usually speaks salt and sodium are equal, but they are not the same as they feel. People must know that the sodium is a mineral that will available naturally in some foods. And is added to most processed foods. Sodium is a component of salt. Salt contains 40% sodium and 60% chloride that is why salt is chemically called as sodium chloride. A teaspoon of salt consists about 2,300 mg of sodium.
The researchers found that people who have consumed a low sodium intake i.e.(less than 3,000 mg) are experienced a higher risk of heart stroke, attack, or heart failure, compared to the people who consumed sodium between 3,000 mg and 6,000 mg a day. So, the USDA recommends that the people should take 2,300 mg sodium for healthy adults, and should take 1,500 mg for those with increased risk of high blood pressure or hypertension.
